Beginning in software engineering, Kurose spent 10 years designing and operating mission-critical systems including authentication infrastructure and payment systems at tens-of-millions-user scale. He subsequently expanded his expertise into security, privacy, and AI governance, and now specializes in the design and implementation of digital governance spanning all three domains.
"Governance written by someone who has never built anything won't work in practice" — this foundational experience as an engineer is the starting point for all of his work.
